The National Committee for the Care of Prisoners, Released Persons and Their Families (Tarahum) is a national body dedicated to the care and empowerment of inmates, released persons and their families. It works to coordinate efforts and integrate the roles of the relevant entities, thereby contributing to strengthening family and social stability and supporting positive reintegration into society.
The National Committee for the Care of Prisoners, Released Persons and Their Families (Tarahum) operates
across the Kingdom through its General Secretariat and branches,
and in partnership with government bodies, the non-profit sector and the private sector, to support care and
empowerment pathways for the beneficiary groups.
The Committee's role is centred on strengthening integration among the relevant entities, directing efforts
towards more sustainable solutions, and developing support pathways that preserve beneficiaries' dignity and
take account of their needs, thereby contributing to enhanced family and social stability and positive
reintegration.

The National Committee for the Care of Prisoners, Released Persons and Their Families (Tarahum) was
established as a national committee created pursuant to Council of Ministers Resolution No. (2)
dated 1/1/1422 AH, to serve as a national framework dedicated to the care and empowerment of inmates,
released persons and their families, and to support their family and social stability
and their positive reintegration into society.
The Committee operates across the Kingdom through its General Secretariat and branches, and in coordination
with government bodies, the non-profit sector and the private sector,
thereby contributing to the coordination of efforts and the development of more sustainable care and
empowerment pathways that preserve beneficiaries' dignity and take account of their needs.
